What the candidate guide says

1. Pick the right campus before you phone

   国际部门诊 is at 瑞金医院本部, 10号楼 B1层 (address 瑞金二路197号瑞金医院内, postcode 200025). The 2025 尊享 A/B/C health-check packages are at a different site — 嘉定院区, 上海市嘉定区希望路999号 住院部6号楼18楼.

   Expected: You are dialling the 本部 department, not the 嘉定院区 check-up desk.

2. Book on the department’s own line

   Call 门诊预约电话 021-64678970 (the 联系方式 page publishes the same number as 国际部门诊预约电话). This is separate from the hospital-wide 导医热线 021-64664140 and from 申康医联 96999176, neither of which the department page names as its own route.

   Expected: A booking is placed on the international department’s outpatient list.

   If it does not work: If the line does not answer, the department also publishes vip@rjh.com.cn. Neither channel states a service window or an English-language option.

3. Check the department’s own hours, not the hospital’s

   The department publishes 门诊时间： 周一 ～ 周五8:00-17:00，周六8:00-12:00，节假日除外. The hospital’s separate 挂号 counter table reads 6:30-16:30 and 急诊 全天 — two different sets of numbers, and the pages do not say which applies to the international department.

   Expected: You know which clock to work to, and that the department page is the authoritative one for this clinic.

   If it does not work: The department page says nothing about 周日. Do not read "closed on Sunday" into it — that is not what the page says.

4. Bring an accepted identity document

   The hospital registration page states 预约挂号采用实名制，请患者提供本人有效身份证原件、有效联系电话、患者本人的医疗卡等个人资料. The international department has its own rule on the medical card: 全自费，不可使用医保卡.

   Expected: You are not turned away at the counter for lack of a document.

   If it does not work: The hospital page names 身份证 only and never mentions 护照. What a foreign passport holder presents is not published — phone the department before travelling.

5. Go to the booking desk on 10号楼 1层, clinic on B1层

   The floor-distribution table puts 国际部门诊接待、 预约台 at 10号楼 1层 and the clinic itself at 10号楼 B1层. Metro: 一号线（陕西南路站）or 九号线（打浦桥站）; the hospital address is 上海市黄浦区瑞金二路197号（永嘉路口）.

   Expected: You reach the international department counter inside the main Ruijin compound.

   If it does not work: The contact page labels the outpatient nurse-station extension as 国际部门诊（10号楼1层）, which conflicts with the floor table above. Both readings are recorded; ask at 1 层.

6. Arrive inside the window the hospital publishes

   The hospital page prints 预约登记成功后，就诊当天请带好预约时用的磁卡和身份证按照预约时段提前30分钟来医院挂号。超过预约时段后系统将不保留原预约号。

   Expected: Your slot is still live when you reach the counter.

   If it does not work: The page does not state whether this rule applies to the international department, and does not say what happens after you are past the slot.

7. Settle on the spot, and know the insurance position first

   The department publishes 化验、药房、收银一站式服务, accepts 人民币现金、信用卡、借记卡、国际部储值卡、一卡通等, and offers 免付现金服务：本中心与多家保险公司合作提供直付流程. Its fee policy: 全自费，不可使用医保卡；国际部门诊按照医生职称收取挂号诊疗费 — with no amount published.

   Expected: You pay without hunting for a different counter, or you have arranged direct billing.

   If it does not work: The insurer roster page is a picture and was not read, so whether YOUR insurer direct-bills is not established here. The department also publishes a results-query line 021-53305254.

8. Plan how you will get reports

   The hospital page prints: 检验检查当日需带好开单时所用就诊卡或电子就诊卡（医保卡或自费磁卡）及检查凭证，并携带收费收据备查; reports print at 一楼大厅及各楼层自助报告打印机 or 5楼报告打印处人工打印, 放射影像报告 at 三楼放射科, 特殊报告 at the location printed on the notice.

   Expected: You leave with the paper trail the counter will ask for, and know where the report lands.

   If it does not work: That page is the hospital-wide rule and never mentions the department’s own 国际部检查区 (12号楼3层). Call 021-53305254 instead of walking the hospital to find out.

What this source does not establish

• ★ The hospital registration page names 身份证 only. Whether a foreign passport is accepted for 实名制, and what an overseas patient uses in place of a 医疗卡, is not published anywhere in this sample.
• ★ The insurer roster (保险公司及保险代理公司) and the department org chart are both images; neither was read.
• ★ Every general-hospital page cited here (2017-06-07, 2019-07-09, 2020-04-13, 2020-07-30) is more than three years old, and no page states that its rules extend to 国际部门诊.
