  • Decide which campus — 庆春院区 (79 Qingchun Rd.) is the one the English site and the 120-reachable emergency description both name, and it is the only campus whose guide page prints its own outpatient hours row
  • Have a document the hospital accepts: the English site says passport, the Chinese site says 二代身份证/医保电子凭证/实体医保卡 — these are two different published answers and only the hospital can reconcile them
  • Settle the payment side before travelling: 异地 patients need the 备案 done in their own province first, or they pay out of pocket and claim at home

What the candidate guide says

  1. Call the International Healthcare Center before anything else

    Building 1, Yuhang Campus (Headquarters Phase I), +86 571 87234455, fahzuinternational@163.com, Mon–Fri 8:00 am–12:00 pm / 1:30 pm–5:00 pm. The page says to book at least one day ahead; the hospital's own English Appointments page says 7 days ahead. Ask both questions in one call.

    Expected: You reach the one desk that answers for international patients, and you know which lead time applies to your visit.

    If it does not work: The centre keeps Mon–Fri hours only. Outside them the Outpatient Department numbers are +86 571 8723 8001 (Yuhang), 8723 6309 (Qingchun), 8723 8158 (Zhijiang), all on zdyymzb@126.com.

  2. Settle the passport question, because the two sites disagree

    The English Patient & Visitor Guide requires a passport, a first-visitor form and a Patient ID card from the registration office. The Chinese 就医指南 says 自助机 needs 二代身份证/医保电子凭证/实体医保卡 and that anyone without valid ID goes to the manual window to fill a form.

    Expected: You know which document and which counter to present.

    If it does not work: Both sites are silent on whether a passport holder can use the kiosks at all, and the Chinese site never mentions a passport. If the answer is "manual window only", arrive when it is open.

  3. Do the 异地就医 filing in your own province, or plan to pay cash

    The insurance page says the national network covers inpatient settlement and outpatient is still rolling out; the two手续 are a 跨省异地就医手续 and a 国家网平台 备案 to 浙江省省本级. If either is missing, the page says you pay first and claim at home with 出院小结、住院发票和费用汇总清单.

    Expected: Either you can swipe the card, or you know you are self-funding and what papers to keep.

    If it does not work: The page puts the decision with your local 医保 centre: 「您的卡能否在本院住院时刷卡使用，主要取决于当地」. Filing to 浙江省杭州市 instead of 省本级 limits you to municipal hospitals — the page says so.

  4. Check the insurer side — the list is English-only and undated

    The International Healthcare page names 25 direct-billing partners and says that without one of them the hospital takes Union Pay, Visa or MasterCard. The Appointments page tells you to check with your insurer against that list.

    Expected: You arrive holding the right credential, or you arrive knowing you pay by card.

    If it does not work: The list is a wall of logos with no date, no per-insurer scope and no hotline. Confirm with the insurer before you fly; the hospital page itself says so.

  5. Book inside the window the hospital prints, and know the cut-off

    Kiosks run 6:30–18:30 at all three outpatient campuses; the manual windows differ per campus and per floor (庆春 6:45–17:30 on 2/F, 8:00–12:00 & 13:30–17:00 on 6–7/F, 7:30–12:00 & 13:30–17:00 on 8/F). Registration closes 30 minutes before the clinic ends: 11:30 for the morning, 16:30 for the afternoon. The FAQ page quotes the same day as 早上6:45——下午16:30.

    Expected: A slot is held in your name before the cut-off, not after.

    If it does not work: 实名制: the booking needs 姓名、有效身份证件号码、有效手机号码, the number is valid only on the day of the visit, and the hospital says it will void a registration whose details do not match your ID or 医保卡.

  6. Pick the campus and know where to stand when you arrive

    庆春院区 杭州市上城区庆春路79号 (clinic Mon–Sun 8:00-12:00, 13:30-17:00), 之江院区 梧桐路366号, 总部一期 文一西路1367号. The 门诊总服务台 is 1号楼2楼大厅中央 (庆春) / 门诊1楼大厅中央 (之江) / 门诊1楼南大厅 (总部一期), on 87236668 / 87238158 / 87238001. The English guide repeats the same addresses and hours in English.

    Expected: You reach the right building and the desk that can answer the question you did not find on the site.

    If it does not work: 城站院区 (城站路58号) appears only in the inpatient tables — the guide publishes no outpatient hours for it. Wheelchairs sit at listed points per campus; ask at the desk if you need one.

  7. Arrive for your slot and sign in at the triage desk

    A successful booking sends an SMS with the time slot; on the day, take a number on your phone or at the kiosk/window and sign in at the 分诊台 in the waiting area.

    Expected: You are called in your slot instead of queueing blind.

    If it does not work: Both the SMS and the kiosk ask for a Chinese mobile number, a 医保卡 or a 身份证. Nothing on any page says what a passport holder does here — the desk is the fallback.

  8. Plan payment, pharmacy and reports in that order

    Prescriptions are paid for before pickup at 门诊西药房 (Mon–Sun 8:00–17:30). Reports come out of the per-floor printers, the 报告查询 function in the WeChat / Alipay / 浙里办 apps, or the 云影像 QR code on the exam receipt. Check/exam appointments are made at the 庆春 8/F service desk or the 浙大一院 Alipay mini-program (7:30–17:30 daily).

    Expected: You can pay, collect and retrieve without a second trip.

    If it does not work: Payment is first-come-first-served with no published receipt rules; medicines cannot be returned once dispensed except with a doctor's 退药申请单, and 中草药 never; ultrasound and obstetric scans cannot be rescheduled.

  9. Know the emergency route and the language you will get

    Emergency runs 24 hours at 庆春院区 and 总部一期 (the English page also names Zhejiang Campus), registration and pay come before triage, and the whole registration/cashier/dispensary/lab block is inside the emergency building. Language assistance is on demand for English, Japanese, Korean, German, French and Uighur. Call 120.

    Expected: In an emergency you are triaged on medical necessity and treated in one building.

    If it does not work: The two sites order the steps differently — the Chinese page sends you to the 预检分诊台 for a number first, the English page says register and pay before being triaged. For any other language the page advises bringing someone who speaks English. No emergency direct-dial number is published.

  10. If you are admitted, read the ward rules before you go in

    Bring the 入院申请单、各类告知书、实体/电子身份证及医保卡 and a deposit. Admission service centres: 庆春 门诊2楼东侧, 之江 门诊1楼, 总部一期 门诊1楼D区, 城站 8号楼1楼, all 8:00-17:30 except 城站 (8:00-11:30 / 13:30-17:00, closed at weekends and public holidays). On the ward: one companion per patient, visiting 6:00-7:30, 11:00-12:00, 14:00-20:00.

    Expected: You are not surprised by a ward rule, and you arrive when the window is open.

    If it does not work: The ward you are admitted to may change on the day (the page says so). Outside 18:00-08:00 every campus routes admission payment to an 急诊收费处 — at 城站 that means 庆春院区.

Unknowns are part of the guide

What this source does not establish

  • The Chinese site and the English site publish two different answers to the same question: the Chinese 就医指南 never mentions a passport and says 自助机 needs 二代身份证/医保电子凭证/实体医保卡; the English guide requires a passport for a first visit. Nobody on the site reconciles them, and the Chinese navigation has no link to the international service at all.
  • 门诊就诊流程, the 人工窗口挂号 column and the 四院区住院衣食住行小宝典 are all published as images. No OCR was used, so the outpatient flow, the manual-window flow and the ward handbook have no text evidence here.
  • The international department is not in the Chinese navigation. The census verdict "no international-department page" is right about /international (that page is academic exchange) and wrong about the hospital.
  • Nothing on the site says how to get here: no metro, bus, parking or intercampus guidance in text on any page reached. The only arrival-adjacent detail published is where the wheelchairs are, which is why topic-transportation settles at M, not H.
  • No page in this sample prints a publication date, so nothing here has been checked against a currency threshold.
  • Follow-up booking rules, registration-fee refunds and non-insurance system maintenance windows are not published anywhere on the site; the receipts are in the three coverage-gap records in this directory.
  • The English pages name the emergency campuses as "Headquarters Phase Ⅰ, Qingchun Campus and Zhejiang Campus" — Zhejiang vs Zhijiang is inconsistent inside the same site.

全国联网结算系统目前已支持住院使用，门诊正逐步实现全国联网。本院是已开通全国结算的网点，您的卡能否在本院住院时刷卡使用，主要取决于当地。请咨询当地医保中心（或医保局），如果当地医保也已开通全国联网结算功能，请在当地医保中心（或医保局）办理：1、跨省异地就医手续；2、将患者医保卡连通至国家网平台，备案至：浙江省省本级（本院为省级医院，如备案到浙江省杭州市，可能只能在杭州市级医院使用）。上述2个手续办理成功后即可在本院正常刷卡结算。（如因线路故障等各种原因不能正常刷卡的，均需先自费垫付，回当地报销）常见问题另答：目前门诊国内部分地区已联网，住院全国都可联网结算。来我院就诊前患者要到当地社保（医保）办理相关异地就医备案手续，否则无法联网结算。

FAHZU's emergency service is located at Headquarters Phase Ⅰ, Qingchun Campus and Zhejiang Campus. Its service time is 24 hours × 7 days all the year round. If it is your first visit to the Hospital, you are required to bring your passport or other valid ID certificates with you, so that doctors will know your age and other necessary basic information. Please note that the emergency department follows the common pre-pay practice of Chinese public hospitals. Please register and pay before being triaged or receiving tests and treatment.
